The music of Morphosis is an ongoing music project inspired by the work of Atlanta based artist Laura Bell and her series of art pieces in the project by the same name.

Laura describes here work on the project as follows:

"The astonishing and often unsettling beauty found in natural phenomenon is explored through the use of imaginary, hybrid, and existent imagery."

"The repeating marks and forms are derived from patterns of repetition found in biological systems, as well as by the regularity and repetition found in computer generated fractals and lace patterns."

The music attempts to describe this beautifully disturbing imagery very much in the same way via organic textures and a steady pulse of repeated motifs meant to mimic the hidden worlds found in the artwork.
